The Oak Ridge School Board will meet on Monday and vote on a contract to provide insurance coverage not only to employees injured on the job, but also to parents of students injured during athletic activities at school.

The school board will vote on a $ 481,229 contract with Tennessee Risk Management Trust for property and casualty insurance and workers’ compensation. This contract will be 16% lower than the cost for fiscal year 2021. However, it was not the lowest bidder.
